The Vineyard

The vineyard behind De Marco Winery is rooted in generations of tradition, care, and respect for the land. Luigi has refined his winemaking skills over many years, building on knowledge passed down through ancestors. With deep experience, love for the craft, and a fervent passion for winemaking, he personally follows every stage of production. From vineyard to cellar, Luigi is directly involved in the work that shapes each wine.

The estate extends across 5 hectares of vineyards surrounding the cellar, where constant sun exposure helps the grapes reach ideal ripeness and develop soft structure, full body, and intense aromas.

Harvesting

To ensure the highest possible quality, the vines undergo careful bunch thinning at the beginning of ripening, allowing the fruit to mature with greater balance and concentration. Harvesting is carried out by hand so that only selected, clean, and intact grapes are brought into the cellar.

The Cellar

In the winery, the approach remains faithful to tradition, with vinification carried out using steel and wooden tanks. This balance of heritage, attention, and craftsmanship is reflected in every bottle.

Values of the Land

The vineyards of Monferrato reflect a remarkable relationship between people, place, and tradition. Shaped over centuries through knowledge, patience, and respect for the natural environment, this landscape stands as a lasting expression of winegrowing excellence.

Here, grape varieties have been carefully matched to the soils and climate, allowing the land to give its best with authenticity and character. This deep understanding of vineyard and winemaking practice has helped make the region an enduring benchmark for quality and craftsmanship.

Beyond its viticultural importance, Monferrato is also a landscape of extraordinary beauty. Its gently rolling hills, sweeping panoramas, and harmonious vineyard scenery create one of Europe’s most distinctive and celebrated wine regions.

What makes this land so special is not only its natural setting, but also the continuity of its traditions. From the cultivation of the vines to the harvest and vinification, the practices carried out here are rooted in generations of expertise, care, and cultural heritage.

For De Marco Winery, the values of the land are found in this balance of beauty, authenticity, and time-honoured craftsmanship — a connection that continues to inspire every bottle.
